Automated data pages

Company pages, market lists (gainers, losers, 52-week highs, circuit stocks, sector performance), screener results, index pages, IPO listings and mutual fund NAVs are generated automatically from exchange files and named data providers. Nobody hand-picks which companies appear: lists are produced by fixed, published rules. The sources, update schedules and formulas are documented on our data sources & methodology page.

Explainer pages such as the glossary, calculator guides and this policy are written and reviewed by the site team, and each shows the date it was last reviewed.

Automation and generated summaries

Short text summaries on stock pages (for example, “the shares last traded at … and have traded between … over the past 52 weeks”) and screen descriptions are generated automatically from the underlying data using fixed templates. They restate the numbers shown on the page and do not contain opinions, forecasts or recommendations.

If we use AI tools to help draft or edit explanatory text, a person reviews it for accuracy before it is published, and we do not use AI to generate prices, financial figures or ratings. Market news headlines come from a third-party feed and link to the original publisher; we do not rewrite them.

What is and isn’t advice

Company Stock Price is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst. Nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Screens such as “low P/E” or “high ROE” are filters on data, not stock tips; being on a list says nothing about whether a stock is a good investment for you.

Calculators give estimates based on the inputs you enter and simplified assumptions. Tax and regulatory information is general and may change; check official sources or a qualified professional before acting. See the full disclaimer.

Independence and no paid placements

• We do not accept payment from companies, promoters, brokers or IPO issuers to appear in, or be ranked higher in, any list, screen or page.
• We do not publish sponsored stock recommendations or paid IPO reviews.
• If the site carries advertising or affiliate links, they are kept separate from data and are clearly labelled; advertisers have no influence over data or rankings.

Accuracy standards

• We use primary sources where possible — exchange bhavcopies, exchange filings and AMFI — and name every provider we rely on.
• When a figure is missing or cannot be calculated meaningfully (for example CAGR from a loss), we leave it blank rather than estimate it.
• Pages show the price date or delay so readers know how current the data is.
• Known limitations, such as unadjusted corporate actions, are documented on the methodology page.

Corrections

If you spot an error, email contact@companystockprice.com with the page URL, the figure that looks wrong and, ideally, a link to the source (an exchange filing or annual report). The contact page lists what to include.

We check the report against the original source. If the error is in our processing, we fix the calculation and refresh the affected data. If it comes from an upstream provider, we report it to them and, where practical, correct or hide the figure in the meantime. Material corrections to written explainer pages are reflected in the page’s “Last reviewed” date.
